Wayne Morecroft, one of Chigwell Constructions longest serving members of staff sadly passed away yesterday after a short illness aged just 57.

Wayne was diagnosed with brain cancer on 27th January and died on 7th February.

Only three weeks ago he was working on site in his role as Contracts Manager which he has done for almost 30 years.

Chigwell Groups Chairman, Dean Floyd says. “Wayne was not only an employee he was a personal friend of mine for over 37 years. He was a great character, a great friend and great employee. He has been an integral part of Chigwell for so many years and will be sorely missed. We pray that Wayne is now at peace”.

Wayne’s funeral will be on 7th March at Forest Park Crematorium, Hainault, Essex at 2.00pm.
