Chigwell Developments secured planning permission for four dwellings on this previously developed Green Belt site. Following approval, the site was successfully developed and the completed homes were sold.

Case Studies
Land to the East of High Road, Thornwood
This Green Belt site was promoted through the Epping Forest DC local plan, receiving an allocation for 38 dwellings with planning then achieved for 62. Once consented, the site was sold to Weston Homes for in excess of £10m.
Timberland Farm, Solid Lane, Doddinghurst
Planning achieved for four detached bungalows in the Green Belt on a former farm. Construction completed in 2022 and every dwelling has sold.
Land East of Ongar Road, Abridge
Planning secured for two five bedroom detached homes in the Green Belt, achieved outside the local plan process using the limited infilling in villages policy.
The Rookeries, Nine Ashes
What remained of a derelict dairy farm was demolished and remediated, with planning secured for eight spacious four bedroom family homes delivered on a nine month programme.
Land to the North of Forest Drive, Theydon Bois
Promoted through the Epping Forest DC local plan under an option agreement signed in 2015. Of three draft Green Belt allocations in Theydon Bois, this was the only site to retain its allocation through to adoption.
Land South of Redrose Lane, Blackmore
Promoted through the Brentwood Borough Council local plan under a 2016 option agreement. Draft allocated for 30 homes in 2018, then formally allocated for 40 in 2022 after evidencing the additional capacity with officers and highways.
