Chigwell Construction undertake fast and effective turnarounds of void properties, including carrying out safety checks, removing abandoned items and rubbish, dealing effectively with damp and mould issues, replacing carpets, undertaking essential maintenance, deep cleaning, and redecorating to re-establish the home ready for new tenants with as little time in between as possible.
Often with limited notice, we can respond by channelling efforts towards reinvigorating property voids that have become unsafe, uninhabitable or simply have fallen below the Decent Homes Standard.
Our void works can also include major upgrades depending on the needs for the property and what it takes to achieve the Decent Homes Standard in each case. For example installing a new kitchen, a new bathroom or replacing an entire heating system. The opportunity to incorporate some of these more major upgrade works as part of void works creates significantly less intrusion for tenants when the house is subsequently inhabited. It’s certainly difficult for anyone to live without these essential facilities for a number of days and so we look to advise our clients when the opportunity arises with a void property to undertake the works at this convenient moment, budget permitting.
