Chigwell Construction are a company that takes the Health, Safety and Welfare of staff and all third parties seriously.
I am a fully qualified QHSE manager with Chigwell Construction and I have 3 years’ experience within the health and safety sector, with 1 year in my current role.
My job is to guarantee the safety of everyone involved with the project, ensuring that we are environmentally aware and that we observe the procedures in our project quality plan.
Along with Contracts Director, Angela Willcock, we have produced a series of important management documents; The Health and Safety Plan, Site Waste Management Plan, Project Quality Plan, Site Specific Induction and Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
Upon agreeing these with the client, my ongoing role is to monitor site activities during unannounced visits and to make sure we are complying with our duties. I also provide training to staff while I’m on site in the form of toolbox talks as well as other training such as first aid, manual handling and fire safety.
